Event Description
Washington is broken. Can the states fix it?

Temple law alumnus Mark Levin argues in his recent book, the Liberty Amendments, that the states should amend the U.S. Constitution by convention. The Federalist Society hosts the Goldwater Institute's Nick Dranias, who will discuss how an interstate compact could allow the states to set the convention ground rules, thereby streamlining the amendment process. He dubs this the "Compact for America."

Mr. Dranias will further argue that unlimited federal debt is the root cause of unlimited federal power, thus justifying a Balanced Budget Amendment.
