Course Description

This course will cover tax issues employers encounter in providing benefits to their employees. Topics will include tax issues affecting medical, disability, severance and life insurance benefits; tax issues affecting funded welfare plans (such as VEBAs™); cafeteria plans; COBRA/HIPPA and other legislation affecting medical plans; coordination of benefits issues including Medicare Secondary Payor rules; and Subrogation rules and other administrative issues.
