This course offers an in-depth examination of the First Amendment, with particular emphasis on freedom of expression.

PLEASE NOTE: This course will be held on the Friday nights 1/5, 1/12, 1/19 & 1/26 from 6-8 PM. Saturdays: 1/6, 1/13, 1/20, 1/27 from 9 AM -5 PM (1 hr lunch and two 30 min breaks). Please reserve Saturday, February 3 (9-5) to attend class in the event that time is needed for possible make-up. Any student who is waitlisted for this course must attend the first class in order to accept a spot off of the waitlist. Registered students should obtain a copy of Daniel Farber, The First Amendment (5th Edition Foundation Press 2019) and read the following pages before the first day of class: Pages 1-137, 229-246
