Course Description

Law & Public Policy II is a three-credit seminar building on the Law & Public Policy summer coursework. Students will work collaboratively to strategize solutions to pressing local policy concerns identified by legislators and community organizations. In doing so, students will examine the role of lawyers in policy change efforts and meet a variety of practitioners active in Philadelphia policy, both lawyers and others involved in policy work in different ways. This course gives students the opportunity to write for different audiences and in different formats to reflect the wide range of legal writing for policy. It fulfills the serial writing requirement. NOTE: This seminar is open only to students who have successfully completed the D.C. Summer Program.
