Course Description
This course examines the intersections of law and sexuality, focusing on how legal systems shape and influence sexual and erotic agency. Students will explore themes such as education, censorship, privacy, bodily autonomy, LGBTQIA+ rights, and the impact of shame and stigma on laws and policies that govern our intimate, relational and sexual lives. Using an interdisciplinary approach, students will examine how legal systems regulate, permit, or deny sexual and erotic agency, thereby shaping personal identities, beliefs, behaviors and societal interactions

for Fall 2025 registration - students should use a temporary CRN 58211 "Mental Health Law" to register for this course. Students will be administratively transferred at a later date into the appropriate course title (with a new CRN) when course is available in the course inventory system.
