Course Description
Building on the skills learned in LRW I, this course introduces students to legal analysis in the form of advocacy. Students will further develop research and analysis skills and learn to craft persuasive legal arguments. The course emphasizes legal persuasion skills, including understanding legal authority in an advocacy context, structuring written arguments, and refining editing techniques. Throughout the semester, students will engage in hands-on exercises designed to prepare them for real-world advocacy. NOTE: Legal Research and Writing must be successfully completed (grade of D or better) [a] in order to graduate and [b] prior to taking any writing course.
