Temple's Student Public Interest Network (SPIN) has been helping Temple Law students get involved in public interest legal work since 1992. Our organization achieves this goal by raising funds to provide public interest opportunities for summer public interest work, both by direct donations and through our annual online auctions.
SPIN has three primary goals:
SPIN was formed in 1992 to help Temple Law students obtain funding to participate in public interest legal work during their law school careers. Ever since, SPIN has sought to ensure that future students would be able to afford to do such valuable work, and to gain the rich experience it offers. Since its inception in 1992, SPIN has raised nearly $370,000 to support students working for non-profit legal organizations during the summer. Despite the circumstances of the pandemic, SPIN provided a total of 18 Honors Grants in Summer 2020. The funds are raised through the efforts of Temple Law students in a series of events that culminate with an annual Auction.
